Becoming a better artist means knowing how to challenge yourself, and maintaining a positive attitude even when nothing seems to be working out the way you want it to.
This article explores how to push yourself to do things you never thought you could do.

Critiques
I love how everything but the adorable dog is white, it brings out the contrast, and draws you even more into the shot.
I personally think the light is perfect...and the look of the dogs face is priceless! This could practically be used for an inspirational poster.
I also love how the background is blurry, it sharpens the focus on the dog. Also, the way the dog is centered is really good, too. I'm no professional photographer, but I think this is one of the best taken pictures I've seen in a long time, and I know this one is gonna stick in my memory.
I perfectly know how difficult is to stop something that is moving and this is a perfect example.
As Chris said, this picture is a bit out of focus, but this minimum imperfection gives the right movement to the image.
The simmetry is amazing and the moment is absolutely perfect. He cought the maximum extension of his incredible cute and funny friend.
Personally I would accentuate the saturation a little bit, just to see better Nelly flying!
(Probably that was not a sunny day).
Except for this particular, I think Chris stopped an incredible moment. This parallel vision of his dog running is great. Nelly seems to fly.
I agree to the previous critique, when *lumi-nara said that this shot shows all the unconditioned love of this animal.
I want to congratulate for this picture.
Simple, not manipulated, very natural and, at the same time, so hard to take!
This is one of my favourite shot in DA's World!
BRAVISSIMO!
